Director, TPO Product Management

Qcells is currently seeking an experienced, senior product leader to lead software product management for the Qcells Lease and Power Purchase Agreement businesses, collectively called “Third Party Ownership”, or “TPO”. The Product Director, Customer Financing will be responsible for the sales rep’s experience of designing a system, creating a proposal, and confirming that the customer would like to move forward within the Axia channel. They will also set the vision for arming our dealer network with proposal tools, as well as designing the customer portal for non-Axia employees. The ideal candidate will be experienced with a) solar financing b) software product management, and c) channel sales.
TPO is poised be the fastest growing segment of solar due to rising interest rates and the Inflation Reduction Act. QCells is particularly well positioned to take advantage of this market due to the domestic content tax credit adder, existing relationships with dealers, and a quality point-of-sale financing platform. You will be responsible for ensuring we have the most compelling offering and that we scale in a quality way.
Key to success in this position is comfort in creation mode – we will be building this program from the ground up. There will be a wide range of freedom in this role to pursue the market strategies that you believe will deliver the best value. The ideal candidate will be an independent and curious thinker who can make convincing, information-based arguments and will never stop learning about their customers' subject matter and areas of complexity.
This role will also be extremely cross-functional. The TPO team will work closely with EnFin on the POS financing platform, capital raising, and servicing, and will work equally with Axia on sales, portfolio management, and quality assurance for installed, leased systems.
This position is located Remote or in San Francisco, CA and working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 5:00pm or 9:00am to 6:00pm local time. Overtime and weekend working hours may be required as needed. This position is expected to travel up to 20%.

Required Qualifications

  • 5 years experience in product management
  • Residential Solar Experience
  • Exceptional Ability to build empathy with customers
  • Ability to work cross functionally
  • Agile product management skills
