VP Sales, Consumer Electronics

What you will be doing
You will take on a senior sales role in our fast-growing business, working closely with the sales team, the CEO and the leadership team to source, drive and close deals in an exciting and fast-moving market for battery system performance and safety in audio, laptops, smartphones and similar consumer electronics systems. You will oversee the planning and execution of our consumer electronics sales pipeline in-line with the objectives of the business. You will interact with the world’s biggest brands and most advanced companies to provide consistently incredible and authentic customer experiences in-line with our values. We will provide you with opportunities to develop your skills as a sales professional, such as attending seminars, workshops and courses to advance your skills and competencies.
Your responsibilities
- Contribute to and execute the consumer electronics market sales strategy and go-to-market plan to achieve targets
- Create and implement a realistic and reliable forecast and reporting system
- Develop, manage, and drive a robust sales funnel, supporting revenue, margin and market share target
- Highlight and develop new commercial opportunities for the business, working with the wider team to deliver and achieve full revenue potential
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with relevant OEMs
- Ensure commercial agreements maximise the value of and protect company IP
- Implement infrastructure and systems to support the commercial success of the business
- Act as a highly visible external representative and evangelist for the business
- Work closely with the executive team on company positioning, commercial / market priorities and assessment of market opportunities
- Review customer activity, anticipate consumer needs and improve customer satisfaction
- Contribute more widely to tactical and strategic decision making of the business, working closely with Marketing, Finance, Product and Engineering teams in a collaborative manner
Requirements
- A successful track record of closing large deals in consumer electronics or similar markets
- In-depth knowledge of the consumer electronics market
- Previous experience of working within, or exposure to, a technology start-up environment is a plus, but not essential
- Experience working directly with key decision makers within consumer electronics OEM ecosystems
- Desire and ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels
- A track record of building and sustaining client relationships on an international basis
- Excellent listening, communication & interpersonal skills with a collaborative, open-minded and results-driven mindset
- A willingness to travel, as required
