Summary of Role
VP of Sales Finance is a critical role within the Finance team at Palmetto, providing finance support to all go-to-market channels. This individual will partner with and serve as a strategic advisor to the Chief Sales Officer as well as Channel Leaders on budgets, performance, capital allocation decisions, and predictability of business results. As Palmetto continues its rapid pace of growth, this function will be an important driver of revenue growth and profitability. This is a unique opportunity to build out the function and team as the company continues to scale its products in new markets across the country.
Strategic & Tactical
- Provide finance leadership to the Sales executives of the Company
- Actively participate and contribute to the forecasting process, ensuring that key opportunities are being maximized and risks are being addressed
- Drive real-time visibility into targets and metrics, interpreting key performance indicators, and actively engage in discussions around investment decisions
- Deeply understand industry trends, partner dynamics, and demand generation performance by running analytics to uncover market insights
- Make recommendations on plans for future growth and profitability
- Lead and mentor a team of junior and senior personnel.
Qualifications
- Strong leader and collaborator, with the capacity for developing relations and becoming a trusted business partner with influence
- Analytical thinker with enthusiasm for complex problem solving, passion for clean energy, and excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong familiarity with corporate finance concepts, financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, KPI tracking, and practical knowledge of valuation methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal, written, and graphic
- Proven track record in FP&A at larger organizations, and preferably at publicly traded companies
- Strong attention to detail; ability to produce error-free documents
- Minimum 10 years of experience, preferably within Finance functions with exposure to Sales operations and metrics
- Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred
