Note: This role is based in Montreal and the selected candidate must be prepared to work on site at our headquarters at 7471 Leonard de Vinci, Montreal (spoiler alert: our factory is pretty awesome)!

We’re looking for a VP/Director, Corporate Communications who will have the opportunity to shape and execute the communications strategy that elevates Sheertex’s position as a world class product, brand, and place to work among key internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal person will look to increase our internal and external communications by increasing clarity, relevancy, and reach through internal communications, strategic initiatives, events, public reports, and earned media from consumer, business and industry trade audiences.

Sheertex makes the world's strongest sheer tights. We have fundamentally changed the hosiery category! Don't just take our word for it TIME MAGAZINE named us as one of their "Best Inventions"! Tens of thousands of customers have already been wowed by our growing range of products, from our bestselling Classic Sheer Tights to our Reversible Crew Socks to Everywear Masks. We are a company that prides itself on using technology to advance a once stagnant industry. Through our initial start of creating a knit that the hosiery industry had never used before to our ongoing push to automate our manufacturing processes; the journey of Sheertex has a common thread of striving to be innovative in our use of technology. Even our method of selling direct-to-consumer through our online channels was uncommon in the hosiery industry, and is just another way Sheertex does things a little differently.

As the VP/Director, Corporate Communications, reporting to the CEO, you will shape not only the way we tell our story but the story itself. We are looking for a seasoned executive that can operate at a strategic level, but isn’t above getting down in the weeds to get results. You ensure Sheertex always has a pulse on what matters to our team, market, and investors. You will work closely with other members of the executive team to elevate our story. Your key objective is to generate brand value for Sheertex among customers, investors, and employees.

What you can expect in the first 30 days: You’ll take a deep dive into the business, getting to know our organization and community. During your onboarding, we’ll send you off on a ‘listening tour’ among employees. You’ll have the opportunity to chat with all our team members over the course of a couple weeks, ideally at the end of exercise you feel ready and confident to tackle your first AMA with our CEO, and pull together a proposal to improve our Employer brand and eNPS.

What you can expect in the first 60 days: After you’ve gone deep learning all about our internal team, you’ll spend the next few weeks digging into our investor brand. We’re looking to see how our message and mission are resonating with our external community. Once you’ve got your footing here, we’ll have you jump into drafting your first shareholder updates.

What you can expect in the first 90 days: Finally, heading into your 3rd month at Sheertex, we’ll ask that you take on ownership of our external holdings site. This is an exciting new project that will pull together many of your learnings over your first few weeks.

The retail industry is notorious for its lack of diverse representation, and we're very aware of the research showing that women and other historically underrepresented groups are less likely to apply to a job if they don't believe that they meet all of the criteria.

Are you hesitant to submit an application because you're not sure if you check every box? Apply anyway!

We would love to hear from you and figure out what you can add to the culture here at Sheertex.
