This role will provide comprehensive recruiting support to multiple departments within Proterra. The Technical Recruiter will assist in sourcing, attracting, engaging, and hiring technical talent around the world. The ideal candidate will understand the competitive nature of the Electric Vehicle sector and use their expertise to build a strong candidate pipeline from scratch. This position will report to the Sr. Director, TA and collaborate with other HR team members located at our headquarters in Burlingame, CA and facilities in Greenville, SC, and Los Angeles, CA.
About the Role – You Will:
- Partner closely with Proterra’s Technology Engineering Team to identify, build, and execute effective recruiting strategies to engage top engineering talent.
- Full-cycle recruitment for engineering positions, from sourcing to extending job offers.
- Build and maintain a network of technical talent through ongoing relationship management.
- Establish relationships with hiring managers and proactively report on pipeline activity to facilitate effective recruiting/hiring discussions.
- Measure performance metrics to drive continuous improvement in technical sourcing.
- Find and engage passive candidates through creative sourcing techniques and help them envision life at Proterra.
- Focus on inclusive recruiting practices.
- Maintain high attention to detail when entering data into UltiPro (ATS).
- Help source for other departments, as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Your Experience Includes
- 3+ years of Technical Recruiting experience for Engineering, R&D, and Product positions (preferably in a high growth environment supporting multiple hiring teams).
- Extensive knowledge of technical market, competitors, and applicable events.
- Experience working with recruiters and hiring managers to understand business needs.
- Passion for building a consistent, diverse, and high-level pipeline.
- Ability to engage passive talent with excellent communication skills both written and oral.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing and/or engineering operations, not required but preferred
