Technical Recruiter

Climate change is one of the biggest problems humanity is facing today. We are an early-stage start-up working on simple, delightful solutions that make a real difference in one of the worst contributing industries: waste.

Chewie Labs is an early-stage start-up whose mission is to impact climate change by bringing user-centered design, technology, & magic to reducing waste.

We’re looking for a Technical Recruiter to help us scale our software, firmware and hardware teams here at Chewie Labs. You will be an ambassador for Chewie and the first point of contact for all technical candidates. Our ideal candidate will have experience with fast-growing teams & companies. You have the ability to pivot quickly, manage stakeholder relationships, handle ambiguity all while hiring the best talent.

Here is what you will do:

  • Support the full cycle recruitment process
  • Partner with hiring managers to build custom recruiting processes for each role
  • Provide strategic support and for hiring managers across departments
  • Establish and manage staffing agency vendor relationships including contract negotiations
  • Creatively source talent with an emphasis on building a diverse talent pool
  • Conduct preliminary interviews and act as the first point of contact for inbound candidates.
  • Manage onsite interviews and candidate experience
  • Facilitate reference checks, present and draft offer letters
  • Optimize Lever/ATS system by setting up email templates, workflow, dispositions, requisition statuses, analytics, and DEI hiring reporting   ### Ideally you will have:
  • An ambassador for our culture
  • A passion for fighting climate change and taking action
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Talent Acquisition
  • Experience working with an ATS (we use greenhouse)
  • Experience in recruiting for technology teams and a proven track record of success
  • Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's architecture, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills - leading with empathy and transparency
  • Excellent assessment and interviewing skills and strong command of assessment and selection methodologies, instruments and process
  • Strong intuition and natural problem-solving skills, with an ability to manage multiple projects/priorities using tactical and strategic analytical skills
  • Proactive, self-starter, goal oriented and ability to work independently
