Talent Lead

Electric vehicle sales are booming - it’s been predicted that 40% of new cars sold as of 2030 globally will be electric. But one of the most challenging elements of owning an electric vehicle is its charging - and that’s where we come in.

We set up in 2018 to make EV charging simple, green and low cost for drivers, to encourage EV adoption and contribute to the decarbonisation of transport. Core to the platform is a proprietary smart-charging algorithm, dynamically aligning charging with intermittent low-carbon electricity, reducing carbon emissions from grid electricity by as much as 70%.

We have a diverse and fully remote team of roughly 60 - and we’re growing! We’ve grown to* over 70,000 *users, secured nearly 13m USD in Series A funding, and were named ‘Best Energy Startup in the World’. But we need more talented folks to join us on the journey as we launch worldwide, grow our user base to over 1 million, and deliver new charging services and analytics offerings.

The role

We’re looking for someone to take ownership of all things Talent as we scale our team up to 100+. This is our first permanent Talent hire, for someone to come in and shape our recruitment and talent for the better.

You’ll have a passion for working with early stage start-ups, having worked with one in the past, and know how to implement recruitment structures and processes from the ground up. You’ll be hands on - sifting through applications, directly sourcing candidates, screening, essentially managing the entire process for every candidate from beginning to end to ensure the best experience possible. You'll cover the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding, including things like L&D and performance reviews. US recruitment will be high on the agenda so some experience with this is essential.

Responsibilities
- You will develop and maintain our recruitment processes and procedures across the globe (UK, US, Europe)
- You will source, hire, attract and retain diverse talent for all areas of the business, build employer brand and create job descriptions 
- Deliver a high level of candidate experience throughout the interview process to ensure all those who interview with us walk away with a positive view of ev
- Drive and maintain a high level of diverse hiring practices 
- You will assist with all aspects of on and off boarding
- Establish future talent schemes to attract diverse talent and encourage a strong pipeline of future stars
- You will approach all aspects of hiring with a creative and imaginative mindset to help us recruit the best people for our business

What are we looking for?
- Experience working with a start-up/ scale -up in the past, or at least a smaller company where you’ve had a lot of ownership and responsibility 
- Previous experience setting up recruitment processes and procedures and effectively implementing them 
- Experience with international recruitment specifically within the US is essential
- Experience in end-to-end recruitment - ideally covering a mixture of roles including tech to non-tech but we’re open to any experience as long we you’re excited to learn 
- Someone comfortable working independently, who’d comfortable collaborating with peers across the business (from Engineering to Sales, Design, Product, Commercial and Operations) 
- Drive and ambition - we’re a scaling business and looking for someone who’ll really accelerate our hiring efforts! If you have creative ideas or suggestions we’d love you to take the lead on them all. 
- You can comfortably coach and mentor senior stakeholders on all aspects of the recruitment environment
