This position is the Validation Sustainment Team Supervisor within Proterra’s Greenville Test and Validation team. You will be responsible for managing technicians and drivers supporting multiple validation activities and engineering assets.
About the Role – You Will:
- Lead team members in exceeding safety goals.
- Work closely with validation team program management, internal validation team members, and other internal and external customers.
- Consistently and effectively communicate with customers on progress, vehicle status and milestones.
- Manage the day to day drivers and technician team member schedules and activities
- Must be able to able to lead others in a dynamic environment. Validation is an ever-changing environment which requires the ability to be flexible and responsive to situational changes.
- Lead team in VCR’s, vehicle inspections and operator feedback documentation.
- Maintain engineering assets, develop and maintain asset uptime and mileage KPI’s.
- Provide technical leadership on engineering assets.
- Provide site maintenance and operational improvements.
- Support the validation team to meeting on-time delivery of projects and project milestones.
- Work with the Director of Validation and entire validation team in processes improvements.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- As a leader in the validation team there is the expectation to support off standard shift operations, weekends or remote work with a Lead by Example attitude.
Your Experience Includes
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, operations or equivalent relevant experience
- 5+ years of experience in engineering, validation, or fleet operations management
- Preferred experience in validation teams and operations
- Proven record of continued growth in professional skills and responsibilities
- Proficient in creating and managing schedules utilizing the scheduling software tools
- Bus or heavy vehicle validation experience preferred; test experience on vehicle, components and systems
- Experience with leading team members in an operational setting with team members and assets in a validation setting.
Travel: Up to 10% of the time
