Role & Compensation

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Senior Maintenance Technician is a key contributor responsible for providing corrective, predictive, and preventive maintenance to all production and support equipment under limited supervision to produce high quality cellulose insulation. In addition to being hands on in the plant during scheduled hours, this is an “on call” job to support operations as needed by coming into the plant off hours and/or diagnosing problems remotely and taking action through operations and/or contract personnel.

In this job, you will:

- PLCs and VFDs controlled equipment
- AC/DC motors
- Industrial machinery
- HVAC and blower systems
- Industrial piping and plumbing systems
- General construction and facility maintenance

- Troubleshoot mechanical and process control systems as needed to keep the plant running efficiently and effectively with minimal downtime.
- Prepare for and execute preventative maintenance functions.
- Prepare mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
- Work with Maintenance Lead to establish and maintain the spare parts inventory.
- Work and collaborate as directed by Engineering on projects, designs, upgrades and implementation.
- Complete assigned work orders with the least disruption possible to daily production.
- Actively participate and maintain a safe working environment by ensuring compliance of safety and environmental rules and regulations.
- Oversee and help direct contractors to CleanFiber standards whether you are on site or on call.

- Procedure Development and Training: The senior maintenance technician will have previous successful experience in troubleshooting electromechanical processes and implementing process improvements to avoid future issues.
- Experience Across a Range of Scales and Vantage Points: We are looking for a candidate who is familiar with the high paced environment of a disruptive startup but can understand the mindset of large and small counterparts and suppliers who are grinding out pennies in mature industries and can help us with operational efficiencies as we mature.
- Hands on DNA: Partnering with the CleanFiber team on the floor will come naturally to the candidate. This individual will be helping us build and maintain equipment and processes for the plant, but also contribute to efforts required to scale up the plant and contribute to the design and implementation of equipment in future plants.

- Ability to inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, install and update basic electrical systems and components.
- Knowledge of PLCs and HMIs.
- Experience in insulation, pulp & paper and/or building products industries.
- CleanTech and/or other venture experience.

We are seeking an individual with these personal attributes:
- Team Building: We believe in the dignity and respect of all employees. We’re looking for an individual who emulates this and leads by example, makes and keeps commitments and gets things done.
- Customer Focus: We need to drive a fanatical devotion to our customers throughout our team, ensuring that every delivery is made on time, and that our product maintains the highest quality standards. We need individuals who will challenge themselves to do the right thing for the customer, even when it is not easy or convenient.
- A Master of Daily Execution: We are seeking an individual capable of rigorously ensuring safety and functionality of all equipment members every day, while ensuring efficient, compliant operations, and high-quality production. Maintenance technicians must be able to confidently achieve and report out on daily, weekly and monthly goals.
- Enjoys the Work and Sees the Vision: We are seeking a candidate who wants to be on the floor in a manufacturing environment and an integral part of building a successful company from the ground up. You will join CleanFiber not only for your career and income, but for the adventure of building a business, changing the building materials industry, and improving the lives of our employees and customers. You will feel success when the team and our customers are successful.
