Summary of Role

The Senior Product Manager of Sales Platform manages the features which enable independent sales representatives and channel partners to sell solar on behalf of Palmetto. Core to this mission is providing a guided selling experience that results in clear and accurate expectations being set with the customer, while helping reps efficiently prospect, qualify, price, quote, and close deals.

Core Responsibilities
- Development of domain expertise in sales persona, objectives, core metrics, and use cases
- User research and data analysis to inform roadmap and prioritization
- Feature intake and prioritization in line with company strategy and objectives
- Quarterly roadmap development, in partnership with Sales Platform leadership
- Scrum team backlog management
- Development of PRDs and User Stories that facilitate efficient product development
- Collaboration with UX and Engineering on feature solutions
- Coordination with other PMs and teams on handoffs from sales experience to consumer experience and solar project fulfillment workflows.
- Scrum team backlog management
- Facilitation of stakeholder agreement on business rules leveraged in the sales process
- Excellent stakeholder communication
- Feature launch planning
- Contribution to positive and supportive product culture

Qualifications
1. Minimum 5 years in Product Management
2. Minimum 8 years working in a Technology environment.
3. Strong leadership skills rooted in high EQ, curiosity, and clear communication; ability to engage and drive alignment amongst senior leaders; can rally a cross-functional team toward demanding goals
4. Excellent business acumen and can map product direction to meet business objectives
5. Logical thinker with the ability to guide technical solution development so that the software is flexible and grows with the Palmetto business
6. Strong orientation toward qualitative and quantitative research, with experience in customer interviews; high degree of customer empathy; strong storytelling skills
7. Strategic thinker with an eye for details. Able to identify the most impactful features to get us there, and determine the best ways to measure impact.
8. Has collaborated in and led product groups within a technology organization; clear understanding and knowledge of UX, CX, and software development, and can demonstrate working across these teams to create a strong product from multiple perspectives
9. Problem solver with excellent facilitation skills and who can drive decisions in the face of ambiguity
10. Has a solid track record of exhibiting senior product management skills on major initiatives, touching product analysis, prioritization, backlog development, solution development, user stories, leadership, communication, and roadmap development.
11. Excellent project management skills; can effectively manage dependencies across teams and prepare new features for a successful launch.
