Zoomo is the world’s leading provider of e-bikes for delivery. We’re a fast-growing start-up with operations in the US, UK, Canada, France, Spain, Germany, and Australia. And we’re just getting started. We’ve raised >US$100m and are a trusted partner to some of the world’s most innovative companies including Uber, Doordash, Gorillas and Getir. Expect to join a fast-paced and supportive environment where opportunities are unlimited and your career development is our priority.

THE ROLE

We’re looking for a growth-hungry and ambitious Sr. Ops Manager to lead our fastest growing market - Toronto. The Toronto team at Zoomo has quickly become one of the most important parts of the global organization, and leading it will be a challenge that is equally energizing, hard, impactful, and rewarding.

We need a person in this role who is a true athlete - at home both in a spreadsheet and in a storefront, comfortable developing strategy and executing on it, and takes personally the responsibility to lead and develop a team. No job for our customers is too big or too small - whether working as a strategic sounding board for the North American leadership team, developing a performance management system, scouting a new location, or tearing through boxes to help get new bikes on the road. This is an opportunity to be at the heart of Zoomo’s growth in North America.

You will apply your experience in team management, logistics, process development and optimization to establish Zoomo Toronto as a global benchmark for customer and employee experience. You will get your hands dirty. If you’re looking for ownership and the opportunity to manage a team, deliver impact you’re proud of and build meaningful relationships, then this role is for you.

Responsibilities:
- Own city-level KPIs for customer experience, including uptime and bike availability.
- Drive growth in a rapidly growing market.
- Develop and implement operational strategies that meet business objectives.
- Spearhead initiatives to improve processes, including customer experience, logistics, and staffing.
- Manage and develop the front line team of site managers, mechanics, and cross-functional athletes.

Requirements
- 5-7+ years strategy / operational experience.
- Ownership mentality. No job is too big or too small.
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
- Enthusiastic leader and people developer.
- Self-starter. Excited by a growth environment and willing to try new strategies while keeping the focus on achieving results.
- Thrive in rapidly changing, fast-paced, and ambiguous conditions.
- Focus on getting things done without needing to rely on established processes
- Data-driven and strong business judgment.
- Able to roll up your sleeves and analyze the data and pull key insights, then roll out solutions across a diverse org.
- Strong interpersonal skills. Able to build and manage strong relationships with their team, cross-functional colleagues, and external partners
- Ability to work at different altitudes - whether on the shop floor or in a meeting with the North American leadership team.
- Start-up experience is a plus.
- Alignment with Zoomo’s vision and purpose.

Benefits

At Zoomo, we celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment and equal opportunities. We offer you the chance to be part of an organisation in hyper-growth mode with plenty of opportunities for personal development, including:
- Autonomy and responsibility, solving problems you've never imagined even existed, at high pace.
- Working at a well-funded start-up with a strong management team and global presence.
- The chance to be part of an organization in growth with plenty of opportunity for personal development.
- Flexible workplace with a team of extraordinary, motivated and fun co-workers.
- The full support of an experienced management team in helping you meet your targets and your professional development goals.
