Summary of Role
The Senior Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and executing on Palmetto’s operational project pipeline from Engineering Complete to Install Ready across a six to ten-state geographic footprint. To accomplish this goal they will lead a cross-functional team of utility, permitting, and HOA subject matter experts. This role is focused on the velocity and throughput of projects and is thus accountable for ensuring the tactical efficiency and efficacy of this pipeline segment. The Sr. Operations Manager is responsible for identifying impediments to the timely execution of the departmental workflow and collaborating with Team Leads, Customer Leads, and Programmatic owners to overcome obstacles. The Senior Operations Manager will also be responsible for personnel allocation across states as volume and personnel availability are required to ensure an unhindered workflow.

Strategic & Tactical
- Drive state and regional initiatives that accelerate project timelines from Engineering Complete to Install Ready and Inspection Complete to PTO
- Lead and coach the Third Party Approvals team (Permitting, Utility, and HOA) to identify pipeline bottlenecks and implement team-wide solutions to course correct
- Strategically allocate and manage personnel resources to optimize installation-ready throughput across the region
- Collaborate with the programmatic team to implement efficiency improvements that will increase team resource productivity
- Partner with technology on workflow automation and efficiency solutions for your team
- Motivate and drive your team to monthly and quarterly install-ready and timeline goal achievement
- Develop and drive initiatives toward reducing fallout/cancellations in the post-CR pipeline
- Collaborate with Customer Leads to ensure industry-leading timelines and customer experience
- Other responsibilities as required

Qualifications

- 7+ years of operational leadership experience with a demonstrated track record of process improvement and leadership capability
- 4+ years experience in managing multiple manager-level teams via metrics and KPIs
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment
- Strong understanding of the rooftop solar life cycle requirements from sale to PTO, and deep experience navigating AHJ and utility requirements
- Track record managing interdepartmentally to meet and exceed key operational and customer experience KPIs
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize
- Excellent analytical skills
