At SHYFT Power Solutions, we're on a mission to ensure that clean, reliable, and affordable energy solutions can scale and sustainably meet demand. We build IoT and integrated software solutions to optimize energy asset performance (that's solar, battery, grid, and/or generator systems) and help our customers, renewable energy companies, facility managers and real estate developers improve operational efficiency while at it. Today, nearly every major bank in Nigeria has a branch using SHYFT technology to ensure reliable and affordable power. With over 3,000kW of energy assets being managed by SHYFT technology in emerging markets like Nigeria, we're a catalyst for the energy transition.

Who you are
- You have at least 2 years professional experience with manual and automated QA test planning, writing, and execution
- You have some programming experience, with the ability to set up local development environments and do basic shell scripting
- You are self motivated, and have a desire and ability to learn new technologies and processes quickly on the fly
- You have experience with, or are excited to, help implement quality assurance processes across the engineering organization
- You have a passion for SHYFT's mission and values, you emphasize team victories over personal accolades, and you find joy in tackling hard problems
- You are results oriented, product focused with excellent attention to detail and quality
- You have experience working with, or are excited to work with, remote teams
What you'll do
- Join product specification meetings
- Develop (and execute) test plans and test cases for new features
- Develop (and execute) test plans and test cases for existing features (backfilling our documentation and test suite)
- Manual QA and smoke testing: test features end-to-end before they are released to production
- Exploratory Testing: End-to-end test our live production systems
- Submit detailed bug reports, and work closely with application engineers to get issues resolved
- Write automated tests for key flows in our web and mobile codebases
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Previous professional experience writing end-to-end tests in Javascript
- Experience in the clean-tech, clean energy, or electricity sectors
- Experience with Nigerian or West African customers, products, and markets
