The Role:

Primary focus will be to provide technical support and quality control for production facility. The individual must possess the ability to operate lab instrumentation independently and support manufacturing as needed.

Responsibilities:
- Analyze in-process samples to support fermentation and food team operations
- Adhere to GMPs and follow company SOPs for all established methods
- Preparation of reagents, glassware and stock solutions
- Maintenance and troubleshooting of analytical equipment 
- Help develop analytical methods that inform fermentation process optimization
- Assist in the routine operation of analytical chemistry equipment such as HPLC, ICP-OES, & GC-MS
- Documentation and record keeping must be maintained and a high attention detail is expected.
- Calibration of laboratory analytical instrumentation.
- Assist with laboratory housekeeping

Requirements:
- Bachelor's, masters or PhD degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or equivalent
- Minimum two years’ experience operating and maintaining an ICP-OES in an academic or industrial setting
- Minimum two years’ experience operating and maintaining an HPLC in an academic or industrial setting
- Ability to manage multiple workflows and experiments within a single day
- Ability to effectively communicate, interpret results, and collaborate in cross-functional team environment
- Ability to receive and interpret constructive feedback to improve or troubleshoot methods
- Must be a self-starter, motivated, and able to adapt to the demands of a fast-growing company
- Flexible schedule including occasional evenings and weekends

Compensation:
Range is $60,000 – $75,000, including a potential annual bonus and equity. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
