We are looking for a highly motivated Project Manager to join our dynamic start-up team as we build fully automated, smart insect factories to help sustainably feed the world.

The Role

We’re looking for a project manager to ensure we deliver industrial scale insect factories, safely, on time and to budget. Working alongside our experienced entomology, engineering and commercial teams you will be responsible for delivering technically ambitious projects. We want someone capable of the detailed day to day running of projects, but who is also able to work constructively with the team to help us develop and improve best practice.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Project manage the development and construction of industrial scale BSF factories
- Implement stage gates to take the team from feasibility through to commissioning
- Financial management of budget
- Track and report key progress and performance metrics
- Manage and mitigate project risk and opportunities
- Lead and negotiate tender processes for major contractors
- Show leadership of health and safety during construction, commissioning and start-up
- Handle stakeholder management: Ensure internal team, contractors, partners and investors are kept informed and motivated
- Be on site where necessary: conduct first hand appraisal of work progress, safety and quality

Desired Skills & Experience:
- Experience of managing industrial projects
- Experience with a range of project management skills, tools and approaches.
- Ability to motivate, lead, problem solve and influence
- Experience of managing a wide array of stakeholders including construction partners, govt. bodies, grant funders and investors
