Summary of Role

The Project Engineer will design and project manage residential clean energy projects at Palmetto. This position will also play an active role in continually improving Palmetto's product and service offerings, via process improvements and the utilization of new technology.

Responsibilities
- Shepherd a Regional portfolio of residential projects from a sold proposal to a stamped permit ready plan set
- Focus on moving all actionable work out of your respective queue in a timely fashion (within 48hrs of receipt)
- Work cross-functionally with Sales, and Operations to address project changes and blockers to deliver a best-in-class Customer Experience
- Complete electrical and structural designs in collaboration with Design and Professional Engineering vendors for residential Solar and Battery Storage projects
- Identify project site improvements including re-roofs and electrical panel upgrades
- Coordinate with local jurisdictions and utilities to confirm compliance with applicable codes and ensure plan sets meet permitting and interconnection standards for approval
- Contribute to the upkeep of industry best practices, standards and guidelines across all of Palmetto's product types and service territories to facilitate a seamless Customer Journey to installation
- Demonstrate ethics and professionalism at all times

Qualifications
- NABCEP (PV Installation Professional) certification and 1-2 years of solar and battery design experience required
- Proficient knowledge of the National Electric Code required
- Proficient knowledge of residential construction techniques required
- Basic knowledge in drafting and AutoCAD Software required
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Critical thinking and ability to solve problems
- Demonstrate good judgment and analytical skills
- High attention to detail
