Production Planner

We are searching for a Production Planner to join our amazing team @ Linear Labs Inc! This position will work onsite at our corporate facility in Fort Worth, TX. We are seeking an experienced and talented professional who can thrive in the dynamic environment of a start-up.

The Production Planner will develop and execute production and manufacturing operations plans to satisfy customer demand, organizational expectations, while ensuring the most efficient use of inventory. The ideal candidate has a proven record of success as a production planner within a high-volume manufacturing environment, producing complex assemblies, produced within an ISO9001 quality system. Candidate must have well rounded experience working cross functionally with all departments including supply chain, sales, engineering, operations, and quality.

This is not a 9-5 job. This is a “roll up your sleeves and dig in” grassroots opportunity for the right candidate! Must be dedicated, passionate, and able to run fast, work smart in a rapidly growing start up environment.

What You'll Do

  • Develop, execute, and manage production plans, supporting primary production and rework lines to optimize service, inventory, and labor efficiency
  • Perform supply & demand analysis, highlighting areas of concern based on multiple planning horizons and demand scenarios
  • Project inventory levels at an agreed to cadence and collaborate with supply chain to identify and address shortages in the near term as well as “shortage proof” the line going forward.
  • Analyze short term constraints establishing recommendations for resolution. Work cross functionally to execute agreed solution
  • Develop and/or develop and convert quarterly/monthly/weekly plan to daily schedule within available capacity and material availability while ensuring schedule stability
  • Develop and publish firm production schedule(s) and communicate to appropriate production leads and all key stakeholders
  • Maintain data quality and integrity within scheduling tools (ERP), monitoring spend, inventory (including validation per cycle count), labor planning, delivery, and other key measures
  • Create and implement best practice, standard operating procedures, policies, and procedures specific to the planning process or related functional dependencies.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive reports aligned with key performance indicators
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or related discipline
  • 5 years’ experience within a production/manufacturing environment, performing critical production planner functions.
  • Experience within one of the following industries is preferred: electric motors, robotics, drones, IoT, automation, or conveyor systems
  • Experience working in an ERP Environment (Experience within NetSuite ERP strongly desired)
  • Experience in an ISO9001 production environment
  • Demonstrated decision-making skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure, manage competing demands and meet tight deadlines with strong follow through
  • Demonstrated ability as a collaborative, innovative and strategic planner who is decisive and results oriented with a strong sense of urgency and drive
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, self-motivated, well organized, and able to pro-actively communicate with all employees, across all functional and leadership levels
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Strong MS Office skills in Excel, Word, & PowerPoint.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
