Sentient Energy, a Koch Subsidiary company, is seeking a Power Systems Integration Engineer to be part of the* *Sentient Energy (SE) Professional Services Team in Frisco, TX. In this role, you will be a member of cross-functional teams responsible for the application and integration of green-energy technologies in the rapidly growing SMART Grid (distribution power system) space.

What You Will Do In Your Role
- Leading efforts to integrate Sentient Energy products and solutions with power/utility company SCADA/DMS/ADMS/EMS systems as part of rapid-deployment cross-functional teams, including architecture overview and design, testing and validation, and system troubleshooting
- Configuring, analyzing, and troubleshooting SCADA (DNP3/68070 etc.) protocol applications
- Providing consulting support to product marketing and engineering teams, including product design and evolution, PRD development and review, system/solution validation, and product documentation (internal and customer facing)
- Supporting sales and customer engagement teams
- Developing automation scripts, testing, deployment, and documentation (python/bash)
- Creating training materials and providing customer training

The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements:
- BS or higher in Electrical Engineering with a focus in Power Systems engineering
- Knowledge and experience in Power utility distribution automation and operations
- Experience in Power utility DMS/ADMS/EMS/field operations OR SCADA systems and protocols
- Experience in network protocol configuration and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of embedded systems

What Will Put You Ahead
- MS in Electrical Engineering/Power Systems Engineering
- Experience using UNIX administration and operation systems
- Experience in network and systems architecture design and documentation
- TCP/DNP3 protocol analysis at a packet/transaction level
- Proficiency in basic programming/scripting languages (python/bash)
- Experience deploying solutions and operating in NERC CIP and high-security environments
