Job Description

Lilac is seeking a Lithium Production Engineer with a Petroleum Production Engineering skillset to assist with the planning, design, and execution of Lilac’s global resource business. Lithium production involves the drilling of wells to produce enriched brines hosted within subsurface reservoirs. The majority of these resources are located in South American salars.

Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, completion, and operation of wells for a lithium brine project
- Design the re-injector and monitoring wellfield 
- Artificial lift scoping and design for production wells
- Work closely with other subsurface teams to optimize production and injection
- Assist with the building and leading of a team of onsite operators to ensure a steady flow to surface facilities
- Work with the Drilling Manager and subsurface teams to undertake well design scoping work for future developments
- Provide input into regulator reporting requirements and in-country regulatory meetings

Candidate Qualifications
- Self-motivated and self-starter
- BS in Petroleum, Hydrological engineering, or equivalent
- 5+ years in petroleum engineering or water well design
- Experience with artificial lift design in particular ESP’s
- Water chemistry as it relates to scaling
- Tendering and leading 3rd party specialist studies
- Vendor negotiation and management 
- Excited to work on a small fast-paced team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills relating to operators, subsurface professionals and management teams
- Able to travel to South America and other global locations as needed (~10-25%)

Preferred Skills
- Some level of Spanish language
- Management of field teams
