Helio is seeking a new team member to build and manage a network of trade partners to actualize our mission to electrify every home in the United States. Our Relationship Manager will be part business development and part account manager and will have ownership over the entire lifecycle experience of a trade partner. This role will report to the VP of Operations and will begin as an individual contributor. If successful, however, they will build a department to match Helio Home’s growth, eventually running a team of account managers. Success for this position is clear: developing a robust partnership network within multiple trades, retention and satisfaction of partners, and conformance of partners to the Helio Way (standards of quality and professionalism).
Responsibilities
- Define and then create our partner experience from initial awareness of Helio Home through recruiting, onboarding, first job, and continued growth
- Professionalize partner management by standardizing invoicing, performance-based remedies, and certification/training programs
- Own new trade partner recruiting pipeline to include marketing strategy, advertising materials, and vetting checklist.
- Help inform the vision and needs for our partner technology roadmap that will digitize and optimize our partner experience
Requirements
- Background in account management, business development, or B2B sales in home construction, home improvement, HVAC, solar, or other trade-related industry.
- Passion for environmental justice and taking an active part in mitigating the effects of climate change
- Insightful into the challenges and joys of running a small business in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or insulation and excited to support such businesses in their growth aspirations.
- Excellent operational hygiene to include communication, leveraging a CRM, and task management.
- Evidence of both thinking strategically and translating strategy into tactical implementation.
- Added points for experience with Human Centered Design, Jobs-to-be-done, or similar user-centric method.
