ZeroAvia is a leader in zero-emission aviation, flying the world's largest hydrogen-electric aircraft since September 2020. Its focus is the design and commercialization of hydrogen-powered aviation solutions to address a variety of markets, initially targeting short-haul, sub-regional commercial flights up to 500 miles. To date, ZeroAvia has secured the UK CAA and FAA experimental permit to fly for its 6 seat aircraft powered by hydrogen-electric powertrain, passed significant flight tests, and is on track for commercial deliveries by 2023. Its achievements to date were rewarded by the UK prime minister by inviting ZeroAvia as a member of the UK Jet Zero Council.

ZeroAvia’s powertrain development focuses on integrating hydrogen storage tanks, fuel cell systems, and electric motors, delivering a solution that will be not only without carbon emissions but also cheaper to operate. Commercializing the solution requires the establishment of a new clean aviation ecosystem, encompassing hydrogen production from renewable energy sources and tackling public perception of safety.

Responsibilities
- Reporting to the General Counsel, you will be supporting the legal team both in US and UK as to file and document management with a broad range of duties for a fast-moving legal team with multiple assignments and deadlines.
- This position will be remote with occasional travel
- Review, draft a wide range and manage a wide array of agreements and related agreements including support and document management of supplier, customer, manufacturing, distribution, non-disclosure, professional services, consulting joint development, and licensing contracts for domestic and international partnerships
- Maintain contract and document indices/files including lease schedules, insurance coverage charts
- Support the legal team’s work on compliance with Company policies and procedures, including those related to data privacy, supplier management, code of conduct, employment matters, and records management
- Maintain litigation files and related documents as necessary
- Conduct legal research as needed
- Manage Legal invoices and expenses
- Take on independent assignments on an as-needed basis whether from the Legal team or the others in the company when time and circumstances allow
- Draft and maintain board communications including minutes, resolutions, and other corporate documents
- Maintain shareholder and related information in Carta
- Perform any other duties as requested by management

Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree from accredited school/paralegal certification
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal either in-house or in a law firm environment preferably with some experience with start-up companies
- Must have a diverse background with corporate and litigation experience with the ability to organize, support, and maintain files, evidence, and other documents as needed
- Must have a strong work ethic and enthusiasm for taking on a wide range of projects and responsibilities with the ability to respond to shifting priorities and company goals
- Must be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize while handling multiple tasks with the ability to work independently and without close supervision
- Must have exceptional communication and writing skills and be comfortable interacting and, if necessary, presenting to external and internal audiences with the emotional intelligence to “read the room”
- Must have the ability to communicate information in a clear and concise manner across a broad array of internal and external customers. Experience with outside counsel, shareholders, and board members desired. 
- Must have demonstrable skills with Word and Microsoft office suite programs (Excel, PowerPoint) as well as Google Doc
- Must have experience with contract management systems as well as other corporate board and shareholder software (Diligent, Ironclad, OnBoard, Carta, etc)
- Must have experience with non-disclosure agreements and the ability to review and finalize standard agreements
- Experience with litigation holds, document review, discovery support, and management of litigation-related documents preferred
- Experience with insurance programs, interaction with insurance brokers, obtaining certificates of insurance,
- Maintenance of coverage charts and invoices 
- Familiarity with export control issues would be useful
- Experience with legal invoices, budgeting
