The Operations Analyst I supports the operations and engineering teams in a variety of initiatives to provide financial analysis-driven horsepower to solve critical financial-related, business strategy, and operations problems across the organization. The role offers a unique ability to work across teams to see how a fast-growing business operates and is a great platform to learn how to operationalize change at scale. The ideal candidate has a strong attention to detail, is organized, and can multi-task in a results-oriented environment. You must be comfortable working under deadlines and cross-collaborating. This position is a highly visible role that interacts regularly with executive management. Depending on the individual’s abilities and departmental needs, you will be involved in various initiatives such as operational reporting and diligence, financial planning, capital budgeting, investor & board reporting, and operational strategy.

Responsibilities
- Manage financial modeling and forecasting
- Build monthly/quarterly operational/financial reports, including variance analysis
- Aid in development of business models tied to new project streams and opportunities
- Create sensitivity analyses for different operational options and business conditions
- Research ad hoc topics such as ESG benefits, carbon credits, and industry trends
- Routinely evaluate and report environmental testing protocol and results

Requirements
- 0- 3 years of related experience
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or similar field
- High proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint
- General understanding of GAAP and financial statements
- High attention to detail, excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Motivated self-starter and team player; ability to work collaboratively
- Ability to stay flexible through growth and change
- Experience in technology or energy industries is preferred but not required
