We are looking for people in Manufacturing Engineering (Co-op) who enjoy getting shit done. You are not afraid to jump into a project and be treated like a full time member of the team. You are humble, inquisitive, and enter every conversation expecting to learn something from your interlocutor If you are someone who enjoys working in a fast paced and innovative start up environment, keen to keep learning and iterating their craft then we would love to speak with you!

What to expect?

The opportunity to work within a growing team, we give everyone that works on the team the opportunity to be a major contributor, we expect that you will take that and run with it. You will take ownership of the problems you're working on, and solve them using any and all resources available (including and especially by getting help from the Operations team)

Responsibilities:
- Making your engineering experience available to the team, working with them to figure out how it can be best applied to the problems we're facing, and building whatever machinery that may be necessary.
- Improving equipment performance and uptime
- Identifying and eliminating process bottlenecks
- Figuring out how to detect broken needles on knitting machines
- Integrating vision systems into production processes

Requirements:
- You are motivated by solving real problems for real people (you'll be working meters away from almost 100 people who'll be using the things you build every day)
- You are comfortable working in an environment where you will thrive on the production floor and presenting your progress to members of the leadership team
- You have expertise is some of the following:Industrial automation and systems design
- Mechatronics
- Process Engineering
- Practical Problem Solvings
- Statistical Analysis

Desired:
- You take an evidence-based approach to problem solving.
- You listen to your gut, form a hypothesis, then collect data which could disprove your hypothesis.
- You are always improving. Always improving yourself, always improving the Automation team, and always improving Sheertex
