Role Overview:

Plays an important role in Carbon Upcycling’s operations; works in a fast-paced manufacturing environment; responsible for contributing to lab testing and verification of finished product; directly supports the Operations Manager and Lead Engineer.

Responsibilities
- Collecting, receiving, labelling, and analysing sample compositions
- Organising shipments of processed materials
- Designing and executing laboratory testing in line with standard testing procedures, recording observations, and interpreting findings
- Recording all experimental data and test results accurately and in the specified format (written and/or electronic
- Organizing and storing all samples according to safety instructions
- Ensuring that safety guidelines are adhered to at all times within the laboratory and on site
- Maintaining daily logs and equipment record books
- Cleaning, sterilizing, maintaining, and calibrating laboratory equipment, if required
- Ordering laboratory supplies, as needed
- Providing technical support
- Keeping up to date with relevant scientific and technical developments

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a related field
- Proven experience working as a lab technician
- Working experience operating electrical and non-electrical laboratory equipment
- Comfortable handling powder materials
- In depth knowledge of laboratory best practices
- Working knowledge of MS Office and database systems
- Ability to work autonomously and under pressure
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Keen attention to detail
- Analytical skills
- Highly motivated
