At Heart Aerospace we develop the ES-30, a regional electric airplane with a capacity of 30 passengers driven by electric motors with battery derived energy. The ES-30 is expected to enter into service in 2028.
We are now looking for Junior Flight Sciences Engineers to join our Flight Science team in Gothenburg.
Your mission
The Junior Flight Sciences Engineers will help design, develop and certify our aircraft. As a hybrid aircraft, with some new and novel design features, this may entail innovative approaches to aircraft performance modelling, analysis, and testing. The selected candidate will work in one of the areas of Aeronautics: Aircraft Performance, Stability and Controls, Mass Properties, Aerodynamics and Thermodynamics as well as Loads and Dynamics. This will be a broad role covering design support, analysis and compliance finding. In this role, you will interface to and work with all other engineering groups including systems and structures.
You will report to the Head of Flight Science and your place of work will be at our main office located in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Education/Experience
- M.Sc./M.Eng., or equivalent, in Aerospace/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering subjects
- Working experience in a relevant engineering discipline is a bonus
- Completed Masters Thesis project or Internship within an Aerospace environment
- Working experience within an Aerospace company is preferred but not mandatory
- Significant aircraft conceptual and preliminary design experience on a CS-25 or regional aircraft program at a leading OEM or start-up
- Experience working in an aerospace start-up environment is a merit
Specific Skills/Abilities
- Basic knowledge on the use of engineering simulation/modelling tools
- Awareness of the civil aircraft regulatory requirements is beneficial
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills in English
- Eagerness to work with others
- Passion for aircraft and to electrify the aviation industry
