What we are looking for:

It’s a great time to join Stem as we begin to build the HR function. This position will focus on a wide variety of functions within HR including hiring, onboarding, immigration work, managing pre-hire processes, background checks, etc. In addition to supporting our HR team, this person will also assist our Recruiting team with sourcing, candidate pipeline management, our Internship Program, Diversity Programs and relationships with US Universities.

Responsibilities
- Support HR/Recruiting team throughout the hiring process
- Assist with both the pre-hire and onboarding processes
- Manage pre-hire I-9 verifications, background checks, immigration statuses
- Maintain HR personnel files, data and records
- Help create and manage the Internship program
- Create regular reports on HR metrics
- Assist with sourcing and research projects to map/identify potential markets providing on demand talent pool research and analysis
- Identify and work closely with various diversity job posting portals
- Identify and create relationships with various Colleges and Universities

Requirements
- BS Degree, Business, HR, etc.
- 2+ years in an HR administrative function in a complex, technical company
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Experience with business software, i.e., Excel, Microsoft, Slack, Jira, Confluence
- Experience focused on pre-hire and onboarding activities
- Previous experience recruiting/sourcing for B2B companies or supporting the recruiting process is a plus
- Passion for and understanding and commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion

Job Location
The preferred location for this role is San Francisco Bay Area. Will be working in the office ~2-3 days/week.
