ZeroAvia is a leader in zero-emission aviation, flying the world's largest hydrogen-electric aircraft since September 2020. Its focus is the design and commercialization of hydrogen-powered aviation solutions to address a variety of markets, initially targeting short-haul, sub-regional commercial flights up to 500 miles. To date, ZeroAvia has secured the UK CAA and FAA experimental permit to fly for its 6-seat aircraft powered by hydrogen-electric powertrain passed significant flight tests and is on track for commercial deliveries by 2024. Its achievements to date were rewarded by the UK prime minister by inviting ZeroAvia as a member of the UK Jet Zero Council.

ZeroAvia’s powertrain development focuses on integrating hydrogen storage tanks, fuel cell systems, and electric motors, delivering a solution that will be not only without carbon emissions but also cheaper to operate. Commercializing the solution requires the establishment of a new clean aviation ecosystem, encompassing hydrogen production from renewable energy sources and tackling public perception of safety.

The Head of Supply Chain reports to the Head of Technical Operations and will lead the team working toward the creation and qualification of the supply chain to mass produce ZeroAvia’s first zero-emissions hydrogen-electric powertrain commercially. You will work with the Engineering teams, supply chain managers and procurement team to develop and maintain a strong, efficient supply chain to enable ZeroAvia to meet technology and certification deadlines and customer expectations.

Job Description
- Functional management of the supply chain team including appraisals, 1:1 reviews, development plans and resource allocation across projects
- Develop and maintain internal supply chain processes and documentation and ensure the supply chain team adherence.
- Manage the Stores function, which includes Goods in, Stores, Inventory management, Kitting and Despatch
- Work closely with the engineering team at the early design stage, to ensure supplier feedback in being incorporated where appropriate into the design
- Draft and negotiate supplier and purchasing contracts, and long-term agreements, support supplier statements of work creation and review suppliers’ terms and conditions.
- Complete supplier evaluations with the support of supplier quality.
- Create and monitor supplier KPIs
- Use NetSuite for vendor management, purchase order creation/approvals, receiving and inventory management.
- Coordinate and manage the relevant Advanced Production Quality Planning (APQP)
- Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) deliverables relevant to the supply chain including supplier capability and capacity.
- Ensure Safety, Quality, Cost of goods sold reduction and delivery requirements are at the forefront of all supply chain decisions
- Provide information to support the Make vs Buy decision process

Job Requirements
Essential:
- Team management experience with the ability to support and develop the Supply Chain team
- Demonstrated stakeholder management skills including suppliers, colleagues and executive team.
- Strong negotiation skills and demonstrable experience in the development of long-term supplier agreements within the aerospace industry.
- Ability to produce concise reports and effective presentations
- Proficient in the use of IT and able to leverage systems to provide data and reports for the benefit of the business
- Experience with ERP systems such as Netsuite or similar
- Willingness to research potential suppliers and monitor developing trends
- Flexible and able to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplined team to tight deadlines
- A genuine passion for clean technology and a future of electric aviation

Desirable:
- Technical background in engineering gained in an aerospace environment
- AS9100 experience
