About the role

You will have the challenge and opportunity to be the face of Clir in your market region. Working in a collaborative environment with internal support teams, you will be responsible for market growth and follow the client journey from initial outreach to continuous value delivery.

You will have a real and significant impact on Clir’s market presence and the environment. You will also have the creative license to customize the market approach, with support and guidance from the wider Clir team, including senior management. Your ability to build relationships, ask questions, solve problems, and be an integral part of a collaborative team will be the catalysts to your success.

Who you are
- Passionate about our core values: Communication, Sustainability, Inclusion, Impact, and Innovation
- Experienced in B2B sales within the renewable energy industry (O&M-related experience is an asset)
- Not afraid to roll up your sleeves and jump into other areas of the sales process to support the team
- Able to travel to visit clients and attend trade shows (as needed for meaningful impact, and based on safety protocols)

What you’ll be doing
- Lead, manage, and be responsible for sales growth in North America
- Build and manage an effective long-term pipeline of opportunities
- Prospect customers as a trusted advisor to deeply understand their unique challenges and goals
- Manage the sales process from lead generation to contract acceptance, as well as through ongoing relationship management
- Understand our value proposition and use this knowledge to show prospects the value Clir is bringing to the renewable market
- Represent Clir at relevant networking events (in-person and virtually) 
- Create and implement marketing and sales strategies
- Prepare, present, and deliver proposals
- Manage a sales funnel in Clir’s CRM
- Working location is flexible, travel will be required within North America and, in some instances, overseas.

What you’ll need
- Experience working in the renewable energy industry
- Drive, determination, and experience in building and fostering new relationships and markets
- A record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Ability to present to clients in person as well as via phone, and video conferencing
- Understanding of financial data, commercial contracts, and local market legal requirements 
- Ability to collaborate and influence in a “win as a team” environment
- Fluency in English
- Legal right to work in Canada or the USA
