What we are looking for:

As ESG Program Manager you will be responsible for developing and overseeing environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance. You will work with members of the Company’s executive leadership and operations teams to formulate and implement the Company’s ESG strategy and compliance programs. You will also oversee the Company’s compliance with applicable federal and ESG laws and regulations, including those related to climate change and conflict minerals reporting. The position will also be responsible for maintaining relationships with, and setting engagement strategies for, various ESG ratings agencies and other stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Establish long-term ESG goals and create a clear, prioritized activity roadmap that successfully delivers the Company’s ambitions with respect to environmental sustainability, reduction of pollution, human rights impacts, and governance best practices.
- Draft and develop day-to-day policies and procedures relating to the Company’s ESG practices with an eye toward cost-effectiveness, feasibility, and ease of integration with other programs.
- Monitor and facilitate the effectiveness of implementation of the Company’s ESG policies.
- Oversee the financial reporting and legal teams’ ESG reporting efforts to ensure systematic and accurate collection and reporting of key data and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Implement and oversee the reporting process for compliance with the SEC’s new sustainability reporting regime.
- Engage with the broader ESG community to build partnerships and share best practices.
- Work across the Company’s business to inform and educate, and ensure that every employee understands the role that they play in the Company’s ESG goals, policies, and compliance.

Requirements
- 5+ years of leadership experience in ESG, EHS or corporate compliance and governance.
- B.S. or B.A. in the sciences, sustainability or related fields.
- Demonstrated ability to create and execute corporate policies and plans.
- Experience working with and understanding of financial reporting and compliance functions to comply with ESG-related reporting regimes.
- Maintain a current working knowledge of all applicable federal and ESG laws and regulations, including those related to climate change and conflict minerals reporting.
- Engagement with, and participation in, ESG associations, as well as leadership experience within those groups.
- Comfort with ambiguity in a fast paced, collaborative environment, self-motivated and able to independently prioritize.
- Ability to interface with all levels of management and communicate cross-functionally in a structured and clear manner to influence outcomes.
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication, team collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work autonomously with excellent time management skills, focusing on key outcomes amid competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Outstanding executive presentation skills – ability to assemble and tell a complex story simply and crisply.

Job Location
The preferred locations for this role are San Francisco, California or Houston, Texas. Alternate locations may be considered for the right candidate. You must be legally able to work in the USA.
