Lilac is seeking an EHS Manager to lead the development, implementation, and execution of all EHS programs and systems for a chemical manufacturing facility producing ceramic ion exchange beads.

Responsibilities
- Lead development and implementation of the manufacturing site EHS strategy and management system, and the associated programs, processes, and tools, to deliver excellence in personnel safety and environmental compliance.
- Set site EHS goals and lead improvement initiatives to achieve company objectives focusing on risk reduction, continuous improvement, proactive leading indicators, and sustainable compliance assurance.
- Foster excellent incident and near miss reporting, auditing, and assessment. Perform analysis to identify trends and opportunities, and communicate findings to all stakeholders.
- Lead and support incident investigations ensuring root causes are identified, lessons are learned, and corrective actions are implemented.
- Ensure the site EHS improvement initiatives and projects needed to achieve goals are properly resourced through input in the capital allocation process and management of the site EHS expense budget.
- Coach employees at all levels of the Bead Manufacturing Division to foster a culture focused on excellence in EHS performance demonstrated by transparent two-way communication, shared values and priorities, full organizational engagement, strong awareness and capabilities, and continuous proactive improvement.
- Manage positive relationships with regulatory agencies, community authorities, and other stakeholders. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, standards, and stakeholder expectations by managing required permits, recordkeeping, reporting, and inspections.

This is a full-time position based in Fernley, NV reporting to the EVP, Bead Manufacturing Division.

Candidate Qualifications
- 5+ years of EHS experience in an industrial environment. Chemicals, oil & gas, or mining industry experience is preferred.
- BS in engineering, health & safety, or similar technical field
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in an industrial environment.
- Experience in environmental permit submission, compliance management, and reporting.
- Experience developing and implementing EHS programs, policies, and procedures.

Preferred Skills
- Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining and EHS Management System and knowledge of applicable standards, such as ISO 45001, ISO 14001, Responsible Care, etc.
- Engaging leadership and influencing skills and a drive to build an outstanding culture and to treat others with integrity, respect, and fairness.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

Compensation
- Salary range: $130K-$170K annually (commensurate with experience)
