Purpose-driven position

CarbonCure is experiencing aggressive growth as our technology and value propositions are becoming globally recognized. With growing awareness that carbon removal will be critical to meeting our climate targets, we are seeing increasing demand for CarbonCure's carbon removal credits, which have already been sold to several buyers including Stripe and Shopify. This is a growing revenue stream which will be an effective mechanism to accelerate adoption of CarbonCure’s carbon dioxide removal (CDR) technologies.
 
Reporting to the Senior Director of Global Marketing, the Director of Marketing - Carbon Removal will be responsible for the development and execution of CarbonCure’s carbon removal marketing strategy and programs. Working in lockstep with marketing and the Carbon Finance sales and customer success teams, your primary responsibility is to drive marketing-sourced and influenced revenue through cohesive, integrated campaigns, customized content and messaging, and lead nurturing.
 

Responsibilities

  •  Use an ABM strategy to identify high value corporate carbon removal buyers - across different industries and with different needs - you will be responsible for creating campaigns and programs focused on inbound and outbound lead generation, including planning, budgeting, execution, optimization, and reporting
  • Manage and execute multi-channel, multi-touch (digital ads, social media, email marketing, events, direct mail, webinars, etc.) demand generation programs designed to drive awareness, engagement and conversion of leads 
  • Customize nurture programs designed to provide content aligned with the buyer journey, moving marketing leads through the funnel to sales-ready stage; adapt and customize for different types of business requirements where needed
  • Develop content, messaging, and value propositions that align with CarbonCure’s business objectives and users' needs. Identify unique content requirements based on persona needs that includes ebooks, case studies, blog posts, sales sheets, etc.
  • Manage/select paid lead sources
  • Develop event strategies including webinars and tradeshows
  • Use effective social media mediums to drive tangible MQLs
  • Forecast, measure, analyze, and report on the impact of marketing performance on sales pipeline, including MQLs generated, conversion to SAL and pipeline contribution; measure effectiveness, performance and ROI of marketing spend and adjust along the way

Other Requirements and Expectations

  •  5-7 years of experience in B2B demand generation
  • Account-based marketing experience is strong plus
  • Knowledge of best practices for sales and marketing operations, automation and workflow processes; understanding & experience with lead management (lead scoring, nurturing, handoff) marketing automation and demand generation with focus on revenue impact
  • High degree of self-motivation, initiative in sharing information, contributing toward group goals, and being accountable for results. 
  • Knowledge of or passion for decarbonization, carbon removal and carbon offsetting would be a plus
  • Entrepreneurial drive to build a program that will have a major impact on company bottom line, flexibility to adapt to changing business requirements.
  • Proven track record for delivering sales results related to the marketing objectives as outlined in the position description
  • Technology savvy with web, marketing automation (preferably Marketo), CRM system (salesforce.com preferably), Google Analytics, and other demand generation related tools and platforms
  • Familiarity with social media through paid and organic marketing an asset
  • Demonstrated experience of partnering with sales and sales leadership on campaigns driving revenue growth
  • Strong organizational skills: ability to multi-task, prioritize issues/escalations, and manage many projects simultaneously
  • Ability to coordinate with other team members of assorted responsibilities situated across multiple time zones
  • Familiarity with carbon removal, climate change, carbon utilization, the concrete industry, green building and embodied carbon is a bonus
  • Far-reaching ambition and optimism; approach CarbonCure’s ambitious global growth targets with an optimistic, yet pragmatic “how can we make this happen” attitude. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field.
