Crusoe co-locates mobile data centers with stranded energy resources, like flare gas and underloaded renewables, to deliver low-cost, carbon-negative distributed computing solutions. Crusoe Cloud is a managed cloud services platform powered by stranded energy that enables climate-friendly innovation in computationally intensive fields including artificial intelligence, graphics rendering and computational biology.

Crusoe Cloud is hiring a director of business development to lead our go-to-market and sales effort to accelerate growth for our carbon-reducing cloud. Currently in private alpha, we offer high performance GPU compute at a fraction of the cost of hyperscalers. As we move towards public beta and start selling to more startups, researchers and larger companies, we need a developer-focused business development leader to build a repeatable sales motion and team.

Responsibilites

  • Creating and executing on a go-to-market strategy
  • Managing both inbound and outbound sales pipelines
  • Collaborating with marketing on campaigns to support outbound sales motions
  • Ensuring customer feedback is being channeled appropriately into the product roadmap
  • Working with finance team to drive our pricing strategy
  • You will be the Crusoe Cloud evangelist within the AI and rendering communities to build brand awareness and drive customer sales

Requirements

  • 7-10+ years of experience selling to developers and businesses
  • A proven track record of sales, both directly and through partner channels
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with external counter parties
  • Desire to build and scale a business development and sales team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Business level technical knowledge of high performance computing systems or applications preferred
  • Strong understanding of commercial interests and ability to think creatively around creating win-win solutions
  • Great sense of persistence and ability to incorporate learnings from prior failures
  • Willingness to get hands dirty, pick up phones and do what it takes to drive initial business success
