What we are looking for:

The Director, HR Strategic Initiatives & Integration will be a builder, responsible for solving complex, ill-defined HR program or process gaps that span multiple teams and driving resolution. This role will effectively act as the Chief People Officer’s “chief of staff” and develop and program manage scaled, global HR initiatives from design through change management/ communications on behalf of the broader HR function. As the HR function evolves through the business integration, and moves to a global human capital management system, this role will ensure that we have clearly defined mental models, programs and input/output mechanisms to ensure each HR stakeholders understands their scope and role accountability.

Beyond the requirements for this position, it is important that the candidate demonstrates strong character, excellent leadership and communications skills, and a willingness to build solid working relationships with all functional areas, as well as with the executive team, vendors and partners. This is an exciting time at Stem with the successful IPO in 2021, acquisition of AlsoEnergy in 2022 and the ongoing company growth/expansion. Stem is seeking a self-starter, motivated to be a change accelerator.

Responsibilities:
- Establishes and implements HR efforts that effectively solve complex HR issues where problems are not clearly defined.
- Drives organic innovation by developing and implementing early-stage Business strategies and HR capabilities from the ground up.
- Defines how strategy, processes, policies, and tech systems inter-connect across Stem HR to build scalable, globally relevant solutions.
- Functions as a strategic advisor to the Chief People Officer and supports them establishing and operationalizing strategic, impactful HR programs and projects.
- Builds strong relationships across Executives, Stakeholders, Tech partners and delivery teams to identify HR gaps before a poor employee experience can occur.
- Reconciles multiple stakeholder views to drive business results.
- Leads end to end, cross functional HR projects too complex for any one HR team to own.
- Performs global impact analyses on all components of HR risk to ensure fully optimized strategies are created.

Required Skills:
- A BS/BA degree from an accredited college/university; MBA or MA/MS in human resources or related field preferred.
- A minimum of 15 years of HR and/or Management experience.

Desired skills:
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in HR and/or Program Management roles that have strategically and tactically implemented sophisticated HR programs and initiatives.
- The ability to bring immediate credibility to the human resources function through their professional qualifications and leadership skills as well as project the highest levels of integrity.
- Superior interpersonal communication and presentation skills as well as proven organizational skills.
- Experience in a multi-site/location organization.
- Proven leadership skills; able to identify, understand, and synthesize needs of the owners and the organization.
- Lean, Six Sigma or Process improvement experience preferred.

Location:
Boulder, Colorado.
This could be an office based or Flex (hybrid office/remote) role.
