Mill is all about answering a simple question: how can we prevent waste? Less waste can save time, money, energy, maybe even our planet. And there’s no better place to start than food. Food waste is one of the most solvable climate problems facing us today. Plus, our trash really stinks. It’s gross, heavy, and our least favorite chore. At Mill we are striving to build a better environment for all, as we take on climate and kitchen change.

About the Role:

We are looking for a high-caliber senior technical program manager to manage the digital business program with high complexity and broad scope, and to find creative ways to enable independent, parallel work streams while minimizing interdependencies. You’ll work across functions to build and/or integrate with third party systems to launch software that meets Mill's digital business needs including but not limited to a website, content management system, e-commerce and payments processing, operations system needs (inventory, order management, fulfillment, support), CRM and email. This is a great opportunity to join an incredible, high-performing team, and exhibit strong leadership and judgment as Mill navigates its first launch!

Responsibilities
As Mill's Digital Business SW EPM, you will:
- Lead cross-functionally to define schedules, requirements, resources and integration plans
- Communicate program status and prioritize initiatives
- Drive project delivery and technology reviews
- Use technical judgment to challenge proposals and build consensus
- Proactively identify program risks and drive mitigation plans with engineering teams
- Build out scalable processes and frameworks leveraged by multiple cross-functional teams
- Maintain the team's focus on goal-oriented results in a fast paced startup environment with many moving parts
- Coordinate both internal and external software teams to deliver and launch the elements of Mill's digital business needs.

Qualifications:
- 7+ years of software engineering, systems engineering, or technical product/program management experience.
- 3+ years experience managing vendor relationships/partnerships.
- Experience with digital business programs.
- Experience delivering technical programs or products from inception through delivery to post launch.
- Knowledge of user needs, gathering requirements, and defining scope.
- Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams, demonstrated critical thinking, and thought leadership.
- Communication experience and experience working with technical management teams to develop systems, solutions, and products.
- Organizational, coordination and multi-tasking experience.
- Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems.
- B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $175k to $200k, which does not include the value of benefits or a potential equity grant. A wide range of factors are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, market conditions, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and business and organizational needs. At Mill, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
