Who you are?

• You have a keen interest in renewable power and want to help drive output up and operating costs down across the industry.
• You are at ease discussing the details of the daily operations of the company and corporate reporting; switching to improvement and creation of processes, procedures, and growth of a software startup.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead and help define the continuous improvement of the global accounting reporting and its compliance with global regulations.
• Manage treasury functions associated with operating bank accounts
• Manage cash flow and cash flow projections, and support the integration of the company-wide budgeting
• Manage and prepare payroll ensuring accuracy and timely remittance throughout global operations.
• Detailed preparation and reviews of monthly and quarterly corporate financial statements packages on both legal entity and consolidated levels
• Leads the compilation of global tax returns.
• Manage the preparation of annual audited IFRS financial statements, reports, and disclosure leading, managing, and developing finance staff.
• Investigation and resolution of variances in reporting, internal controls, and general accounting.
• Support ad-hoc reporting and special projects

What you’ll need

• Accounting designation – CPA preferred
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience performing full-cycle accounting
• Experience working as an assistant controller or controller
• Experience and comprehensive knowledge of IFRS
• Dynamic self-starter with the ability to adapt to new circumstances
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to analyze, research and rectify accounting variances
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Thorough knowledge of the use of Excel and Quickbooks (or similar accounting programs)
• Experience at a technology company is not required but would be a strong asset
