THE PITCH

Bored Cow is the world’s first animal-free dairy chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry milk. We partnered with our friends at Perfect Day, who figured out how to make real milk protein using microflora instead of cows. It’s a new method of making dairy that doesn’t require a single animal. That’s good news for cows, but it’s better news for us, and the planet. Bored Cow is a whimsical and purpose-driven brand, and we are looking for a part-time Community Manager who embodies these qualities to help us connect with consumers on our social media channels.

We're a team of seasoned entrepreneurs, operators, and creators who are passionate about disrupting the status quo, fixing our broken food system, and playing a small role in resolving the climate and ecological crisis.

WHO YOU ARE

You are active on Instagram and TikTok, and are passionate about building digital communities and delivering meaningful customer experiences using social media. You have a knack for connecting with people one-to-one online, and inserting yourself into existing conversations. You understand the current social media ecosystem and are excited to help drive digital transformation as part of a small, fast-growing brand. You are detail-oriented, empathetic, and thoughtful, and you approach people with patience and kindness.
- You have 1-3 years experience in a social media role as a community manager or digital customer experience manager for a major brand with direct involvement in social responses (preferably with CPG in a subscription ecommerce business).
- You’re a social media enthusiast and independent user of multiple social platforms (TikTok, Twitter, Instagram/Instagram Stories, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.)
- You have excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- You are proactive, and a solutions-driven thinker.
- You are highly organized with acute attention to detail.
- You can work both independently, and as part of a team.
- You’re a self-starter, with the ability to think on your feet and show excellent judgment. You have the ability to prioritize high-volume community comments.
- You enjoy working across multiple communication channels and are able to pivot quickly as priorities and needs of the business evolve.
- You’re able to learn new software quickly; prior experience using systems like Sprout, Slack, Google Suite and subscription models, a plus.
- You’re available to work 2 hours, 6 days a week, inclusive of some holidays.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

You will ​​establish positive interactions with the Bored Cow audience and be the voice of the brand, building and sustaining engaged communities while building brand reputation. This is a crucial part of our team—we aim to be innovative, engaging, and relatable on social channels

Your day-to-day responsibilities will be highly collaborative as you become an expert on Bored Cow products, our community, and customers
- Serve as the voice of our brand by moderating inquiries and engagements from our community across multiple social media channels.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to stay up to date on customer experience policies and product knowledge.
- Go beyond macros and canned replies, and personalize responses to our community as needed, while maintaining brand voice and tone.
- Take an out-of-the-box approach to creating authentic, brand-building moments with our community.
