Summary of Role

Palmetto’s mission to stop climate change is core to who we are as a company. As the Director, Business Operations, you will help orchestrate the Operating Rhythm of the company. This role will include partnering with executive stakeholders to help guide the planning of annual and quarterly goals. From aligning strategic initiatives to setting OKRs and measurement, you will help us plan and communicate more effectively across the company, as well as instill a culture of accountability. Reporting to the SVP of Business Operations, you will partner with leadership to help employees across the organization stay up to date on the company’s vision and goals. Additionally, you will be deployed across a number of high-priority special projects to help guide strategy and execution that successfully supports our mission.

Strategic & Tactical
- Partner with Business Units to unlock insights within their businesses, as well as prepare for periodic business reviews.
- Help drive communications of key company moments like goal setting and OKR updates, etc.
- Partner with Corporate Intelligence and Business Units to identify KPIs, and automate reporting through the development of dashboards.
- Lead management of top priority projects, creating reporting mechanisms on progress and driving projects to successful completion.
- Use your experience to build effective communication plans and execute against them
- Prioritize building cross-functional relationships and establishing foundations of trust as a business partner
- Leverage your experience in change management to help shepherd organizational and operational change

Qualifications
- 7+ years of work experience in a relevant field with cross-functional and collaborative management experience, and a track record of utilizing data to better understand the business impact is required. E.g. Strategy, Investment Banking, Consulting, Finance, or Planning. Ideally coming from complex operational or marketplace businesses.
- Executive presence with strong communications skills; strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize, and a strong bias for solving problems.
- Outstanding strategic planning skills and the ability to translate complex company objectives into actionable plans.
- Data-oriented with the ability to leverage analytics to inform key decisions. Be able to share metrics from previous operations managed and have extensive knowledge of the latest systems/platforms. You will deeply understand how and when to optimize for each metric and understand how to create dashboards to reflect these metrics.
- History of identifying and developing business cases for strategic growth initiatives and operational improvements from ideation to implementation.
- Previously worked at an organization, or within a business unit, that experienced significant growth. Comfortable operating in an environment that is lean, fast-moving. Must have the ability to wear multiple hats and the ability to adjust processes/systems as the company scales. Ability to create structure in ambiguous fast-moving environments
- Demonstrated success in managing multiple stakeholders and resolving conflict within teams, prioritizing and driving results with a high emphasis on quality.
- Proficient in advanced Excel modeling.
- EDUCATION: Undergraduate degree is required. MBA is preferred.
