WhereIsMyTransport is an industry-leading technology company, and the de facto source of mobility and location data in emerging markets.

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our global team.

This is a mobility data sales role. In this role, you will have support from a cross-functional team of subject matter experts, but will need the technical and business acumen to help clients understand the value and advantage of our data and consumer products in context.

Responsibilities
- Identify and target potential customers to generate new business opportunities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders
- Execute a sales strategy to achieve growth targets
- Conduct market research to stay informed of industry trends and competitive landscape
- Support our marketing team to make sure that our campaigns deliver qualified leads
- Prepare proposals, presentations and other materials to support the sales process
- Prepare sales contracts in line with company templates and guidelines
- Negotiate and close deals
- Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless sales process and customer experience

Requirements
- Experienced in a business development, sales or related role
- Proven track record of success selling products - ideally data / software products - to private-sector organisations and public-sector institutions at the highest level
- Strong listening, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Excellent writing skills (in English)
- Excellent people skills
- High levels of professional and emotional intelligence
- Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Bonus Experience
The following will be a significant advantage:
- Experience with data sales
- Experience with B2G and the public sector tender process
- Experience with SaaS sales, mobility sector, emerging markets
- Experience with grant funding opportunities and processes, applications
- An international network, especially in emerging markets
- Project management skills
