Business Development and Policy Analyst (f/m/x)

Nuventura is an award-winning climate technology company, and our goal is to contribute to the energy transition by making the energy sector’s use of SF6 – the world’s strongest greenhouse gas – obsolete. To achieve this goal, we have developed a new generation of electrical switchgear - a key hardware component found throughout electrical infrastructure - that replaces SF6 with breathable air. We are now in the process of industrializing and scaling this technology globally.

As part of this process, we need to participate in demonstration projects with the technology’s end-users (industry, utilities, and renewable companies), as well as raise awareness amongst policy makers and the ESG community about SF6’s environmental impact and the alternatives that are available.

For this, we would like to hire a highly organized communication genius who engages with relevant stakeholders. With respect to demonstration projects, this will include renewable project developers, engineering companies and utilities. With respect to policy, this will include NGOs, politicians, advocacy groups, journalists, ESG departments and financial institutions etc.

As nuventura’s Business Development and Policy Analyst, you have an amazing opportunity to enter the vitally important, and rapidly developing climate technology sector. Moreover, you will also be joining a company in the middle of its very exciting scaling up phase. Through this role you will be exposed to different business areas, thus developing an eclectic range of skills.

To be successful in this role, you need to deeply understand and adopt our vision. You need to be a quick learner, have very good research and communication skills while being highly organized, authentic, and personable.

We very much appreciate women's applications.

What will you be responsible for?

Business Development:

  • Lead qualification – conduct research and find potential project partners (renewable project developers, utilities, industry)
  • Lead outreach – set up calls with interested leads with our sales team.
  • Funnel management – ensure no leads ‘fall through the cracks’ and all are followed up with accordingly.
  • You will be responsible for projects focused on increasing demand for SF6-free switchgear technologies. This can include reaching out to ESG departments, as well as financial institutions.

Policy:

  • Maintain overview of regulatory developments i.e., European Commission, California Air Resource Board, China
  • Collaborate with policy-focused partners i.e., advocacy groups, politicians, journalists, NGOs.
  • Depending on needs, you may need to help creating relevant SF6-focused content i.e., articles, videos

Other:

  • Investigate and apply to relevant funding programs / competitions
  • Organize attendance at events i.e., trade fairs, policy events etc.
  • Marketing activities i.e., press releases, social media, email campaigns

What do you need to bring into the company?

  • You have a university degree in Business, Political Science or related field
  • You are a quick learner, and not intimidated by highly technical topics
  • You are flexible and execution-oriented
  • You bring openness and are fun to work with
  •  Despite tight schedules and being under pressure, you are an engaging and trusted colleague and partner
  •  Ideally, you have experience in the energy or ESG space
  • Your English language skills (C1) are a must. Additional language skills are welcome, especially German
  • You impress by precise communication and the ability to deliver timely

What do we bring into our relationship?

  • An opportunity to make a real difference in the fight against climate change
  • A challenging role in a growing and innovative company
  • A high learning curve and room for personal development with a dedicated development budget
  • Team spirit and a passion for making the world a better place by enabling the roll-out of a technology that has the power to tremendously impact climate change
  • A sustainable, down-to-earth, and passionate company
  • A family-friendly work environment
  • A trusted and valued partnership between you and your stakeholders
  • A family-friendly, flexible work environment
  • A range of office perks such as meal subsidization
