Summary

As a Build Partner Manager, your primary focus is to develop and foster long-term business relationships with our Build Partners to ensure their success on the Palmetto platform, and to ensure high-quality experiences for Palmetto customers. You are ultimately responsible for supporting and growing Palmetto’s Build Partner network through thoughtful partner management. You will enable our Installation Managers and Supervisors to be more efficient at their work, and enable them to focus more specifically on meeting homeowners’ expectations on every installation.

The Build Partner Manager must also build strong bridges internally at Palmetto, as you will work closely with several cross-functional teams including Field Operations, Compliance, Training & Development, and Partner Acquisition to create a world-class partner experience.

Strategic Responsibilities
- Provide dedicated support to new Build Partners, from orientation, through the 90-day ramping process, to ongoing monthly performance management to maintain and exceed Palmettos Quality Standards.
- Train partners on how to best utilize Palmetto tools and best practices to enhance their daily efficiency and customer experience
- Meet each build partner at their warehouse and visit the install site on an every-other-month cadence
- Quarterback regional supply health via regular updates and cross-functional meetings and ensure progress to action items
- Support and coordinate new product training and compliance (inverter, storage, consumption) in partnership with Central Ops
- Point person for consolidating recommended improvements out of all Build Partner feedback, including hotline
- Quarterback feedback loops between partner, Palmetto, and homeowner
- Support Install Managers with build partner schedule optimization to reduce install call-offs and improve contribution margins
- Ensure new process requirements (invoice, JCO, scheduling, etc) are properly communicated and understood
- Proactively mitigate and oversee market capacity constraints by partnering with Install Managers, Build Acquisition and BD teams
- Use the Build Partner Quality Score to support improvement recommendations with the local installation manager
- Maintain detailed summaries of each build partner, their challenges, and changes implemented

Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in Solar Operations, Partner Success, Customer Success, and/or Account Management, including onboarding and training
- Successful track record managing multiple accounts and business relationships
- Excellent communicator and willing to negotiate
- Experience solving complex problems with diplomacy
- Ability to negotiate contract terms and pricing, and manage expansion opportunities
- Demonstrated relationship-building/client-management skills
- Proven work experience collaborating across multiple internal and external teams
- Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and manage numerous concurrent priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strategic and innovative mindset
- Team player with attention to detail
- Must be comfortable working in a nimble, fast-paced environment
- Must live within the business region
- 30% travel required; must have access to personal vehicle
- Preferred - past experience with the construction industry, ideally a solar or clean energy company.

Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Human Relations or a related field
