The Benefits Manager will be a key member of the People team and will lead our benefits programs and enable us to attract and retain our talented team. The ideal candidate is a creative leader that has a proven track record of developing and implementing a best-in-class benefits package in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role is responsible for scaling and ensuring peak competitiveness of our benefits & perks. The ideal candidate will run all things benefits-from developing a strategy and roadmap, to being the go-to resource for every team member. In addition, you'll keep everyone up-to-date and educated by leading company-wide presentations, delivering new hire onboarding sessions, and building scalable content to help make sure everyone has a clear understanding of our benefits package.

A Day in the Life:

- Drive the strategic evolution and execution of our benefits programs in line with Crusoe’s strategy, culture, and values.
- Establish and measure key benefits program metrics; performing complex reporting and analysis of benefits programs and proposals.
- Design and implement a benefit workflow that establishes clear guidelines around decision making, escalation pathways, process for reviewing exceptions and approach to administrative/system errors, review history of escalated issues.
- Regularly benchmark company programs and monitor external trends in order to proactively adjust company plans and programs to ensure market competitiveness.
- Manage partnerships with domestic and international benefit partners and vendors.
- Oversee relationships with outside vendors, and seek out new vendors when needed.
- Confirm all policies are in accordance with national, state, and city laws.
- Prepare and distribute government required reporting such as 1095c forms, non-discrimination testing and annual 5500.
- Develop policies and procedures for administering FMLA and company leave programsManage benefit campaigns with the goal to educate and drive benefit utilization throughout the organization.
- Assist employees with their benefit questions, requests, changes and updates. 
- Initiate COBRA insurance as needed.

You Will Thrive In This Role If:

- 5+ years of experience in benefits planning and administration in a fast start up environment
- Benefits Champion - natural benefits advocatorLead open enrollment in a way that surprises and delights, walking our employees through the process with ease and simplicity
- Experience with effectively scaling benefits function to support the company’s business goals and growth, with a strong awareness of best practices
- Experience with HRIS systems, especially APS and Employee Navigator
- Demonstrated experience in Excel/Google Sheets expertise is required
- Ability to manage effectively with ambiguity, manage multiple projects through completion on time and on budget and to prioritize in a rapidly changing environment
- Expert knowledge of federal and state regulations that govern benefit plans and leave management (ERISA, ACA, IRS, FMLA, and ADAAA)
- Run day-to-day benefits administration and develop processes and procedures
- Point of contact for all new hires during onboarding process; including presentation of benefits package
- A knack for crafting policies in line with culture and brand voice

Compensation Range:

- Compensation will be paid in the range of $130,000-170,000. RSUs are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicants knowledge, education, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
