Stem is seeking candidates inspired by the opportunity to be a key contributor to the development, commercialization, and financing of energy storage projects in a fast-paced, innovative, and dynamic environment. This role will primarily support transaction execution that will drive Stem’s growth in strategic markets. This position will report to the Director of Finance.
Responsibilities:
- Support Director, Finance with end-to-end execution of transactions, including due diligence, structuring, financial modeling, transaction documentation review, risk analysis, and preparation of investment memorandums
- Analyze and maintain financial and reporting data for performance of investments
- Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams to evaluate new market products and structures
- Research, develop, test, and update investment theses for new markets and structures
- Work closely with senior members of finance team to prepare and deliver analyses and conclusions on strategic projects to a variety of internal stakeholders, including executives
Requirements:
- Superb analytical and excel modeling skills to support financial, data, and economic analyses
- Self-starter with strong work ethic - the ability to perform quantitative analysis independently is critical
- Demonstrated interest in energy and infrastructure financing and development
- Able to learn new concepts quickly, think critically, proactively problem solve, and manage multiple projects – high intellectual horsepower required
- 1+ years of experience in one or more of the following domains: Investment Banking, Renewable Project Development, Consulting, Investing, Corporate Development, Corporate/Strategic Finance or similar environments
