What We Are Looking For:

Stem is seeking applicants inspired by the opportunity to be a key contributor to the commercialization and financing of energy storage projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This role will primarily interact and team with the finance, sales, and business development teams to support new market entry with creative solutions for our customers. This position will report to the Director of Finance.

Responsibilities
- Support commercial structuring for Stem’s projects in emerging and new markets with modeling and commercial insights
- Support end-to-end execution of transactions, including financial modeling and diligence, working extensively with various internal and external groups
- Support asset management through organization and analysis of data on operating projects
- Maintain and update key financial databases used in Stem's day to day operations
- Work closely with senior members of finance team to prepare and deliver complex analyses and conclusions on strategic projects to a variety of internal stakeholders

Requirements
- Strong interest in renewable energy, energy storage, and finance
- Strong analytical and excel modeling skills to support data and financial analysis
- Self-starter with the ability and drive to work independently, with attention to detail and strong work ethic
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with an ability to convey ideas and positions clearly and succinctly
- Ability to learn new concepts quickly and proactively grow skill set and industry knowledge
- 2+ years of experience in one or more of the following domains: Investment Banking, Renewable Project Development, Consulting, Investing, Corporate Development, Corporate/Strategic Finance or similar environments
